HAven't found the sources for purchase yet, but the mfr's site is

interesting; this product is 18% alcohol.

Does one take enough for that to acct for the better sleep and feeling of

calmness? :-)

I dunno, Judith: my homeopath forgot how sensitive I am and gave me a

similarly alcoholic preparation. One hit and I was not longer taking it for

my kidneys, but for the buzz. But I am a good girl, and only did that 3-4

times! :-)

LOL!!!! don't think so, you work up to a dosage of 6 *drops* 2x/day

diluted in 10 oz. of water. I'm a pretty cheap date these days, but not

*that* cheap!

Does anyone know what kind of alcohol? I'm very sensitive to alcohol - am

having to use preservative free heparin as I couldn't handle the benzyl

alcohol in it. Anyone with alcohol sensitivities able to use this, or has

tried it?

Judith,

Are you taking it per the patient directions on the website, i.e., no sulfur

foods, low protein, no MSM or similar supplements, no supplements around

time of dosing, etc? I don't recall exactly all the stuff from the website,

but one of the things I remember it saying was that western

medicine/pharmaceuticals may decrease its effectiveness, as it might bind

with them, or something to that effect? Did your doctor have you stop

allopathic meds, or do you not take any allopathic meds, or are you taking

them anyway? Sorry for all the questions, but I have been reading the

websites the past few days, and am very interested, but couldn't stop either

my meds or my supplements or my high protein diet at this point. I wonder if

everyone that takes it follows the protocol on the website as it is

written.

Thanks, Donna in NC

Donna,

I do not know whether this applies in your case, but having been

tested for my CFS/ME, I have been shown to have chronic yeast metabolites in

my urine. Clearly, this test shows that I should avoid all fermented

alcoholic beverages. However, my Doctor has stated that I can consume

colourless spirits such as Vodka and Gin. Having taken Gin, it does not make

my CFS/ME any worse, and taken in moderation can help with sleep.

Do not take too much Gin or Vodka otherwise you will keeping

waking during the night needing the toilet!

If you are taking any medicine, please check that it is okay to

consume alcoholic beverages at the same time.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Andy Porter

Thanks , but I really was asking about alcohol in supplements or

extracts. Alcohol in any other capacity puts me on the floor in minutes, not

to mention the chronic yeast (of course, that might be why I'm on the floor

in minutes - the yeast are punch drunk happy!). Have not consumed alcohol in

years, and too scared to try anymore, alas! But just a small amount in an

ACE extract, and the regular heparin makes me spacey, so wondering if the

18% in NDF would bother me. (Awfully expensive product to find that after

one drop you can't take it due to the alcohol content)

yeah, since you have to take it on am empty stomach its not too hard to

avoid that stuff for an hour or so.
