Guest guest Posted December 29, 2001 Report Share Posted December 29, 2001 The adrenal medulla releases: adrenaline (also called epinephrine) and noradrenaline (also called norepinephrine) Cortisol is produced by Adrenal cortex,so adrenaline and cortisol are to different things..Cortisol increases the blood sugar levels and acts as anti-inflammatory agent in the body..
