Nil,

It was lovely that you even took time to write. But, please know what we

must do in such situations--take care of ourselves even when we'd like to

help someone else.

I struggle with this constantly so I'm not saying I've solved this

problem. But I'm getting some better and it's something important in

self-care for this illness--i.e., not adding work when we're already

overloaded even if not doing something makes us feel bad (e.g., it's

something we want to do, something we feel we should do, etc.)

I'm not advocating selfishness. I don't think that's admirable. But I

am advocating remembering that if we don't protect ourselves that there's

too little out there for us to rely on to keep us afloat.

You help others plenty, Nil, but your situation currently requires you to

focus on yourself. The rotten thing about this illness (or, one of the

rotten things) is that we end up having to eliminate activities/actions

that are fundamental to our sense of ourselves as decent people or as

productive people. Yet if sometimes we don't we get sicker.

I now have from others on the list lots of places to look for the info I

seek, which hopefully will get me closer to understanding something I

feel will help me.

Lots of times I don't respond to a question on list when I know something

that I feel might help someone. I feel rotten, which itself isn't good

for me (a loss of self-image/self-regard) but not as bad as the cost of

the energy expenditure in writing.

I do my best to give. So do you. But we have to help each other

remember that the concept of energy conservation isn't just a notion

applicable to the environment but one to our self-care. And given the

lack and/or poor state of health care for us, self care is extra

important.

That's why numbers on the list matter. When one person can't come

through generally one or several others can.

Good luck working out your difficulty re the money.

I'm very overwhelmed right now and would love to be spoonfed this info.

However as soon as I can I'll do what I can to get the answers to what I

asked and if I can speak helpfully/intelligently about what I find I'll

write a post, summarizing it, hoping that someone who might find things

wrong will correct me.

Dear Judith,

Some of my very limited money was stolen so I was engaged with

activities to reach it. It still goes on.You can imagine how maximized my

" wierd feelings " were..So I am extremely exhausted now and I just don't

have the mind and body energy to transfer you some of my info. I actually

have some info on Adrenals but it may still be incomplete for

transferring it to someone else..You may find better info on the sites

Mark has given you. I may write you later, but don'tknow when... I can

shortly say to you that the wierd feeling you are experiencing is most

probably due to sudden release of cortisol..About the heart

palpitations... It could be from the same reason but it could also be

because of some drug interactions..

Take care..

Nil
