Guest guest
I've been seeing a new med psychiatrist for a year as a back up to my regular MD so at least I have 2 doctors looking at me even though the psychiatrist knows very little about CFS. She is willing to learn, so fine. About a month ago she said she had watched me for the year and thought that I probably had Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), concurrent with CFS. So, I got a SAD light (from Northern Technologies) and it has made an enormous difference in my mood which does drop alot in the fall/winter. It hasn't done anything to the CFS, fatigue, etc but I wanted to relay this anyway bc sometimes we actually do have more than one thing wrong with us at a time and I think this is an example. I know that many people with CFS would not be able to stand the kind of brightness the light generates, and I wouldn't have been able to either 4 years ago. Does anyone know any reasons NOT to use this light - re: serotonin, etc? Thanks for the input,
