Guest guest
Hi all, Years ago I had a friend who worked at the Cleveland Clinic. A woman was admitted to the hospital with yellow skin, and it took a while to figure out the cause: carrot juice. She drank a lot (I wish I knew how much) of carrot juice every day. When she stopped, the yellow in her skin vanished. I juice carrots every other day. Does anyone know how much carrot juice is too much? I juice about 1-1/2 lbs., which makes about about 10 ounces. Since I have had CFIDS I do not juice anymore (only rarely) - but the reason is I just do not feel up to do all the cleaning after that (I have the Champion juicer). I considered juicing carrots more often but I worry about its high carb/sugar content. As for the nitrogen I have read quite a lot articles about it on the web ( based his CFS theory on it). The vegetable juice (in my country) consumed daily may be just too much but it depends on the level of nitrogen in it - organic carrots should have lower level of it. I was also wondering if it was any good...I guess on your recommendation I'll have to give it a try. Jo
Guest guest
I turn very orange when I drink a lot of carrot juice, which I love, by the way. Re: Anyone improving with Vitamin A ? Hi , This is really interesting. Have you ever drunk lots of carrot juice with the same benefit? Katrina > > I have always had good results with Beta Carotene. Many years ago I had a sinus infection that would not go away (I was not addressing other issues yet at that time and also did not know all the stuff you know on this website). A nurse friend from church told me I should take 75,000 IU of Beta Carotene (three 25,000 IU capsules) for several days, then reduce it down. After three rounds of ineffective antibiotics, this was the only thing that finally stopped the sinus infection. So now if I am having sinus or cold issues, I do this and it really helps (along with Vitamin C of course). > > I am already a warm-tone skinned person but this really makes my skin more orange, just like when I used to eat lots of carrots when I was younger. > > in La Selva Beach CA Recent Activity a.. 7New Members Visit Your Group
