Guest guest
I stopped taking ImmunePro after using it for 18 months. It has been 3 weeks and I still feel about the same. I was a very, very good responder with my first dose of IPro. I actually called Carol S. to thank her. My question is, " after one has taken a whey product for a period of time, is there any reason to continue if you don't notice a positive effect? " Or put another way, does the whey 'do it's job' and then not be of any real value after that? TIA. Mike
Guest guest
The main purpose of it is to raise the glutathione levels. Once they are raised, then you might only need it occasionally or even not at all to keep the gluathione levels up. It probably depends why they were down in the first place. They can just go down due to bowel not absorbing, due to chronic illness over time, due to mercury load, etc. If the root causes are solved you probably would not need it anymore. The way to know for sure is to measure you glutathione with the Great Smokies Liver Detox test. Otherwise I would just do it not and then to see if you get any benefit. Guest guest
I tired raising Glutathione for one year with Ipro and all wheys and everything possible - nothing happened and I was down to 2% even after all that onthe GSLD test. I then found I had mercury - lesson is that you are wasting your time trying to raise Glutathione with mercury in your body at highh levels Re: Whey question/observation The main purpose of it is to raise the glutathione levels. Guest guest
Sorry for sharing my personal experience in a general way - I will refrain from sharing in the future Re: Whey question/observation I wish people would stop generalizing their situation to everyone else. Not everyone is the same. All we can do on this lists is state what happened to us, or what we have heard from others. There are tons of dynamics at work here. It is not neccesarily true that you can't raise glutathione with mercury. I was able to raise mine from very low up to normal levels with the whey protein. You might have to keep up with the whey protein to keep the glutathione high, or it could even be worse than what you say, and the whey protein could actually be causing you many problems if your cysteine is high. (which is what eventually happened to me) Each person is different. Guest guest
I'm sorry I came on pretty strong. Please continue to share. I know you were trying to help. We are all just sharing our own experiences. We all have to just remember that our lessons are not everyone elses. Guest guest
Doris, I assume you mean restart taking it and see if I get any benefit or not. That is probably the best suggestion I have heard in several months. BTW, I have no fillings, amalgams nor have I ever had any mercury in my mouth. (Whey was great for me,see below).
