It would seem that constriction of peripheral arteries would be counterproductive in terms of getting more oxygen to tissues?
Guest guest
Hi , I use the Herb Pharm tincture brand sold at Whole Foods, Food Mill, and other health food stores in the E. Bay. Good point. It seems logical that peripheral circulation and oxygenation of the extremities would be compromised by Butchers Broom. However, I do not believe this is the case. I have Raynauds and therefore generally poor peripheral circulation and the Butchers Broom does not appear to affect my peripheral circulation. I see only positive results. I only take it one day a week and get two days of improvement in my overall condition. I am afraid I will develop a tolerance if I use it more than 1x a week. It may be a herb but I think roughly 80%+ of medications come from plant sources and I often develop tolerances to drugs that are beneficial, such as Nimodipine/Nimotop and Talwin.
