Guest guest
Hi The information I posted relates to some of the symptoms of Cfs and definitly does not explain everything. > " This also may explain why a low carbohydrate diet helps calm symptoms. Consumption of carbohydrates probably effects the acid base metabolism more than other food type. " If you read my post again you will see that I have said that a low carb diet calms the symptoms. In another acid-base illness called renal tubular acidosis consumption of high carb meals makes the condition worse as the body must buffer the extra acids created by their digestion. This has been happeing to me that whenever I eat I become extremely tired, especially with high carb meals. Sorry the hot baths make you feel bad but for me although I do get some diziness from them, this is transient but the relief of muscle pain is worth a little diziness at least for me although I guess for some it might be dangerous. The hot waterbed makes me feel sort of yukk but at the same time the relief from muscle pain I get is worth it. It could be that your blood volume has become so severely low and your acid base metabolism is so out of balance that you are reacting to almost anything. This has happened to me on occasion. When you become this severely ill any quick change can make things worse as dr cheney says of the oxygen treatment. Anyone who is severely reactive should probably try to rehydrate first with water. I have found that when I drink a lot of water I can eat foods that I was previously unable to eat. I know my post was pretty foggy and may not be right for everyone. Ill post a clearer better witten version later on when life is less stressful. I do find the concentration and time required to explain myself properly is a huge effort so I should probably resist posting unless I really feel capable. At present my mother is trying to have my brother commited as he is mentally unstable, violent and suicidal. I have been trying to help him but it just doesnt seem to be enough. She is also going in for a hip operation and has him living in her house which is very frightening for her. I could go on and on but I know you and everyone else on the list are stretched to the end of your tethers especially with the unbelievably sad events of the last week. I dont know if you live in the US but if so I hope you, your family and friends are all safe. That goes for all the Americans on the list and not. Our people and government here in New Zealand are horrified buy the unthinkably cruel acts of terrorism which have occurred and very much want to help and support the people of the US.
