I take high-dose Neurontin (4800 mg/day), although for Multiple

Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) instead of CFIDS. I find that it makes a

big difference. It doesn't bring me back to normal, but it does make

life much easier.

As noted in a previous message, some people don't do well on

Neurontin. Others, however, find a lot of relief from CFIDS,

Fibromyalgia, and MCS.

well i cannot verify this but can relay my own experience ..i was sick with

what was diagnosed as " exhaustion " about four or five times from age 19-34..i

recovered after not working and resting, B12 shots, some vitamins each time

in 3-6 months..at 38, however, i got sick again and have been steadily

declining after 5 years of disability..it was then i was diagnosed with

CFS....perhaps the younger ones recover but who is to say that the disease

has not progressed to that point where they will NOT recover..who is to say

they will not relapse again and again as they get longer...no studies are

being done to track those who " recover " ...just my experience and

thoughts...barbara
