Guest guest
I am a little confused . Does a low result on NK functioning simply mean your immune system would have a hard time fighting an infection -- whether you had one or not. Or does it mean you have an infection and your immune system is unable to fight it. Steve
Guest guest
quest does it but you have to tell them on the requisition to send the blood to FOCUS LABS....and before that, call focus and ask in which city the test is done, so that you can put that on the requisition too....or they will mess it up: http://www.focusdx.com/focus/1-reference_laboratory/search_frame.asp?searchOptio\ nScope=2 & S1=1 & S2=1 & test= & sp=20595 & Keyword=natural%20killer%20cell%20function#an_\ 20595 its also done at UNVEX in nevada. ________________________________ From: Jim <jims111@...> Sent: Thursday, May 31, 2012 12:29:35 PM Subject: NK Function Test  does anyone know a lab that does the function test? Quest and other local labs do only the NK count test, not the function. Weird, as Quest I know used to do it. Thanks, Jim
Guest guest
its just to tell you the status of your immune system...in CFS, its sort of analogous to the CD4 count i think ________________________________ From: migde12000 <MigDe1@...> Sent: Friday, June 1, 2012 6:24:26 AM Subject: Re: NK Function Test  Jim, Can I ask what you would be looking for with this test? Would this give info that would lead to a certain treatment or is it just for information purposes. My NK cell count is low and that is why I am asking. Thanks.
