People are coming from all over the greater bay area to see him (quite a few

from our Berkeley cfids group, including one person who lives in Santa Cruz).

Quite knowledgable about cfids (up on most of what Cheney is doing),

very open to info his patients bring him, kind, caring, *genuinely* devoted

to seeing his patients get better. About half of his practice is cfids, half

is chronic pain (although that may be shifting more towards cfids, as more

and more cfids patients hear about him).

After having this illness for over 10 years now, he is by far the best

doctor I have ever seen! I feel priveledged to be able to make the 80 mile

trip (each way) from my home in Contra Costa County to see him! Bottom line:

he is helping people with cfids significantly!

Preventive Medical Group. We've been working together

for nearly three years and she is very open to

experimental treatments. She is an internist and

specializes in chronic fatigue. Her office is on West

rosa specializes in cfs and is really excellent. his number is 707-524-9640.

Damien,

She is not as skilled as Cheney et al, and treats

other disorders besides chronic fatigue. Her

speciality holistic medicine using complementary

therapies. We have learned alot together and she is

familiar with Goldstein, Teitelbaum, Cheney, etc.

She's the best I know of in our area. SOrry for any

confusion

I certainly second F's recommendation of Gordon!! I've

gotten very much better with him in the last 5 months than with an

assortment of docs, acupuncturists, nutritionists, etc. in the last 10

years. He is very smart, open, kind and compassionate.

Hi I think well under 50% of his patients are CFIDS patients.

There are only a handful of docs who exclusively treat CFIDS. Gordon

probably treats as many as anyone in N. California and I agree he is keeping

up to date regarding research. If we keep sending him CFIDS patients he may

eventually be treating mostly PWC's. Steve B.
