Guest guest
Mike, My WBC is also low normal to low. No I have not tried nupagen. I know it was very effective in keeping my husband's WBC count up during chemotherapy. Low WBC count For those of us with low white blood cell count, I have an observation that someone might make sense out of. I was looking thru my lab tests last night and noticed that my WBC count was low, but within normal range for the first 1.5 years of CFS, May, 1993 thru the end of 1994. Then, the WBC count declined and has stayed low since. First, I was wondering if anyone else had seen this pattern, and secondly, has anyone tried to increase their WBC count with Neupogen or some other med? Guest guest
Hi Nat, > My Free T3 (thyroid) is also below normal range this time around and > it can also have an effect on the immune system. Guest guest
Hi Sue, No not yet I still have to discuss this with my doc sometime next week, his receptionist told me that they have new T3 meds that he rec's. I hope this will help some symptoms and stop my hair from falling out. Guest guest
If you can't convert T4 to T3, it may be because of mercury. T3 is very short acting and powerful. It should be used only in a slow release form. I know a compounder that does a really good job...it you need one. Mel
Guest guest
My recent test thyroid test results were: TSH 2.34 Free T3: 4 Free: T4: 11.1 My doctor originally thought that my T4 was low and " that we could work on that " but she changed her made and now says my results " are perfect " . I take desiccated thyroid. I'm interested in any suggestions. Kathy F. Re: Re: Low WBC count > If you can't convert T4 to T3, it may be because of > mercury. T3 is very short acting and powerful. Guest guest
Pamela, looks like it could be either on ME: Normal blood tests used to asses immune function like white blood cell counts usually do not show up abnormal in CFS/ME (although the WBC may be either low or elevated in some patients). Read more: http://chronic-fatigue-syndrome.suite101.com/article.cfm/immune_dysfunction_in_c\ fsme and on statins: http://doublecheckmd.com/EffectsDetail.do?dname=Zocor & sid=1546 & eid=2237 > > Hi everyone > Just returned from my hols in Cornwall - camping. It was lovely. On my return there were three messages and a letter from my Dr's sugery asking for me to come in to discuss some bloods that I had done before I went away. My WBC is .7 which is extremely low - normal range between 4-7.When I was on the Statins it went down to 1.2 and the Dr was extremely worried then.Have been off the poison 18 months now and I still feel like crap most of the time. The test is being repeated in a couple of weeks - and if it's still low they are suggesting some hospital treatment.I already have ME which is an auto-immune illness so do you all think that they will blame the low wbc on the ME?Love to hear your thoughts on this.Pamela >
