Guest guest
I got my results today and they were somewhat interesting. First on the Wisconsin Labs test I was positive for HHV6 but on the Viracor test I am negative. However I was positive for CMV 4923 copies per ml. Is this possible how could I be positive on the first HHV6 test and ). Finally should I have a spinal tap done? If I have a spinal tape done I want them to test for everything possible, because I only want to go through that procedure once. So if anyone could list the tests that should be done on a spinal tap please do so. thanks so much Steve

Perhaps this would make a difference in you HHV6 count, would you think? Regards, Ann
Guest guest
<<< I got my results today and they were somewhat interesting. >>> hi steve! well 'ya know, i believe you probably had a false negative.. if you go through with a tap - you probably want to be tested for the hhv6, CMV, EBV, probably B12 level while you're at it (for some reason, even when b12 levels are normal in blood, the brain isn't getting any in us?).... geez, i dunno, there's all kinds of stuff they can find in there - lyme, some enteroviruses(?), maybe coxsackie and ricketsia? and you would probably want to make sure the tests will show the viral load. though we may not have anything to compare to, except each other. and of course for some of them, the level in aids patients.... but since we don't usually drop dead from the opportunistic infections, that may not be helpful either :-\ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ " Would they have found nothing, unless nothing was what they wanted to find?
