Guest guest
Hi, , You mention liver enzymes being elevated after Lovenox treatment, and are wondering if this indicates that it is harming your liver. My first thought is that you are probably heavily viral-infected. The Lovenox is allowing more access to viral-infected cells by the bloodstream; that means more cell death as NK and Tcytotoxic cells get at and kill the newly-exposed infected cells. That in turn increases the ALT and AST levels, since those enzymes are present in all tissues. So, the elevated ALT and AST levels are in fact indicating that the Lovenox is working for you. They should peak at some point, and return to normal levels even if you stay on the Lovenox.
