Dear Tim,

You wrote, " I tried Dr. Gersten and his protocol for a six month period.

About half of my amino acids were marginally low when tested. The

supplements were about $600 a month, no lie, and of course insurance

didn't reimburse. I did not benefit at all from the therapy. The

price of the supplements he uses, Tyson & Associates, are way

overpriced compared to similar products. If you do the math,

including doctor's fees, you can see how expensive it was, and yet

zero benefit. In my case, ignorance wasn't bliss. This was my

experience and I cannot speak for anyone else. "

Tim, we had the same experience, and I agree with everything you said.

I was on it for six months with zero benefit. The supplements he

uses from Tyson are beyond overpriced. The cost of just those alone

along with vitamins and trypofan (sp) was over $600 per month. I

sought out his treatment, but he made a statement to me that in

retrospect should have set off the red flags. That being " You can

buy your way out of this illness. " It was early in the illness for

me and he told me what I wanted to hear. Expensive lesson.

Here's my experience with Dr Gersten from March 1999 :

I had the blood test for amino's and it

was abnormal ( a few lows & many low normals)

The test was about 225.00

Dr Gersten's consult before and after testing

$200 + $ 100

Cost of supplements for one month about $450

Most of the pills made me sick to my stomach

and aggravated my chemical sensitivities.

So I discontinued it (I couldn't afford it

anyway) --- I wasted over $1000.00 and still

felt like crap.

I then went to my local health food store

and bought a large bag of whey protein (Big

Whey brand) and took it for several months,

about $45.00 for one month.

I have since had the amino test repeated at

my local Dr's and all my levels are ok.

My fatigue level is about the same so I noticed

no benefit.

The bottom line is don't waste your money.
