Guest guest
Hi all: Here is some recent information: Transfer Factor 560 , in addition to affecting HHV6, is a non specific immune modulator. It is very labile, and is just messenger RNA. However, there can be significant side effects. These include a herxheimer reaction, a sense of flu like illness, and this was reported by Brewer as occurring in a large percentage of patients. When it activates your TH1 System, AND you have a virus sitting in your body, your body will begin to fight it. Thus causing the flu like symptoms. It can initially make things far worse before you get better. In some patients this has taken at least 30 days. However, this does not happen to everyone. (The transfer factor can activate your immune system if you have any bug in your body, including mycoplasmas and chlamydia.) The strategy to combat this is to " tough it out " if you can tolerate it, and if it is intolerable, you must cut the dose, or frequency, OR BOTH. Reduce the frequency first, from three tablets once a day to three tablets once a week, then advance to twice a week, then three times a week, then every other day, and so on, until you are at three tablets once a day. This way you kill off the viruses slower so that you can tolerate it. You may still feel the flu like symptoms on the day and day after you take the transfer factor. This is not to say that " everyone " can actually take Transfer Factor 560. You must use your own judgment. This is why it is important to have your lymphocytes and natural killer cells tested, to see if you are obtaining any benefit from this and the other 3 TH shifters. I do not know if this is true for everyone, but for me, Transfer Factor 560 is to be used for 90 days, then retest, and go from there. I am using the TF as an immune modulator, as it does not appear that I have an HHV6 infection, although it is possible since I have not been tested for this. I do not believe that Transfer Factor 560 is to be used over the long term. Pine Cone extract by and large has very few side effects. It is very well tolerated, and there have been reductions in allergies when using this. It is intended for long term use. Laurion
