Is it hydroxOcobalamin or hydroxYcobalamin?

Hi all,

Hydrox-?-cobalamin. Over a four-year period I've seen it spelled sometimes

with an " o " and sometimes with a " y. " Is the B-12 the same, no matter how

it's spelled? Does anyone know if one or the other is " correct? "

According to " Appleton & Lange's 1999 Drug Guide " , 'hydroxO' is the

correct spelling for the generic product. ('HydroxY' is not listed).

Trade names are: Acti-B12, Alphamine, AlphaRedisol, Hydrobexan,

Hydroxo-12, and LA-12.
