Hi ,

The directions for Primal Defense say to start out very slowly and build

up gradually to between 10 and 20 a day for three months. Then you are

supposed to go on a maintenance dose of 3 to 6 a day. But I am one of

those people who cannot tolerate supplements and am allergic to all

foods, that didn't work for me. If I had stayed on a dose of l a day, I

would still be taking it and would probably be eating normally for the

first time in 10 years. I worked myself up to 13 a day and soon after

developed diarrhea and had to stop.

The lesson learned from that is if you start getting diarrhea, you are

taking too much. I just started glutathione/ATP shots which are only

once a week and seem to be tolerating them, so that should enable me to

go back on probiotics as well as other nutritional supplements. I still

think it is the greatest and can hardly wait to get back on it. Remember

that probiotics are " good " microorganisms that belong in our g.i. tract

and since our intestines are at least 20 feet long, you got to give them

time to recolonize.

There are two websites I recommend. First an article about Primal

Defense: www.lef.org/magazine/articles/hsos.html and a treatment

protocol for autism (for many of us the digestive problems we have are

just like the ones that many children with autism have). This is where I

first found out about Primal Defense: www.owt.com/pmc/autismprot.htm

Hope this helps.
