Guest guest
, Swelling is the body's " normal " reaction to bee venom -- everyone that gets stung by a bee SHOULD have this reaction! I've mentioned that swelling is a very good indication that a dormant or imbalanced immune system is kicking in. The dangerous allergic reaction to bee venom is anaphylactic shock -- that's the allergic reaction that causes the airway passage to swell, and can be lethal. Anyone that is truly allergic to bee venom (1-5% of the population) will have this reaction with just one bee sting! This can be easily reversed if the person stays calm and uses the epi-pen. People that are allergic to bee venom become desensitized by receiving a series of injectable bee venom. If you read any of my other posts, I have stressed the fact that there are safety measures that must be practiced when using BVT. An experienced apitherapist will begin with a test sting, wait and observe to make sure they can proceed, gradually increase the number of stings, and have Benadry and an epi-pen nearby. Dr. Cherbuliez, President of The American Apitherapy Society keeps records of adverse reactions to bee venom. He has nothing to gain and a lot to lose by promoting the use of this very beneficial therapy to thousands of desperate people that have been abandoned by the medical community. Pat Wagner, aka " the beelady " has stung over 9,000 people for free. She reports no adverse reactions to bee venom to date. In Eastern and some European countries, bee venom is used and accepted by the medical profession. " Modern medicine " , driven by greedy pharmaceutical companies, ignores all the scientific studies that have been conducted on bee venom because they cannot patent a " natural " substance. Thanks to the internet, we have access to information that was previously unavailable to us so we can make informed decisions. I was bedridden and housebound for years, and felt that I had nothing to lose by trying BVT. I have no hidden agenda and nothing to gain by posting this information. My mission is to inform the CFS/FM community about this little known alternative that has exceeded all my expectations and given me my life back.
