Guest guest
Hi All, I have had my 3rd session of HBOT today. 17 more to go! (5sessions per week) I am sure some of you may be a bit envious but from my side I am just left in a continued state of exhaustion so that I can't do anything else except plan for the following days trip to the MS HBOT centre. How have other CFS'rs got on with HBOT? and at what point did they start to feel the benefits? Yours brain dead and living in a slum because I am too jiggered to tidy and vacume (but I will manage but just moan in the process) Adam

Hi Adam I completed my intensive HBOT before christmas and am now on the once a week maintenance programme. I'm currently using 2 atmospheres pressure (equivalent to 33 feet depth), the maximum that we can go to here in the UK. I too am exhausted after each session. I got into a dialogue with Judy Rudin, the Patient Services Coordinator at San Diego Hyperbarics and she was saying that our protocol here in the UK sounds strange (it is basically an MS protocol rather than CFS) and that she never experienced overwhelming tiredness. Just another demonstration of how we all react differently to these things! (I can send you her comments backchannel if you like). I have noticed no benefits (or negative effects) so far (after 2 months or so), although I have been noticeably more tired at the greater depth. I'm going to stick at it for another couple of months probably since it's relatively cheap and I want to give it a chance. Did you check out the HBOT information website that on posted recently? It's really interesting -- but long! Good luck with the treatment and let us know how you're progressing. All the best Chris Coventry, UK chris_rowbury@...
