Guest guest
Hi, Dave, Thanks for the info on complement and potential therapeutic complement inhibitors. Just wanted to comment that complement activation requires a surface of some kind, with an antigen-bound antibody. Without the surface, there isn't any way to keep the various factors together long enough to get activation. So peptides (like from leaky gut) are unlikely to give activation. Also, complement is IgG-specific. IgE, the classical allerigy antibody type, doesn't work. I'm not sure current medical researcher are fully aware of all that is going on...most of the stuff is not yet 2 years old. The way I understand, one can become allergic to pieces of bacteria (endotoxin) that get into the blood stream via a leaky gut, which stimulates the complement system. Why can't one become allergic to fillers and chemcials in the same fashion, especially in the kidneys? Dave
