I am a big fan of this stuff, and buy it by the 4-kilo lot

to save money. I was shocked to discover that half of my

last lot had a different formula, which included

acesulfame-K in addition to the original Stevia.

Ace-K makes me irresistably sleepy, gives me a low-grade

constant headache that makes me more sensitive to my usual

migraine triggers, and if taken several days in a row starts

making me feel mildly depressed. Needless to say, after a

week of this, I re-read labels on everything I was taking to

find out what had changed.

The good news is, that Life Extension Foundation is aware of

the problem and has gone back to making the stuff with

Stevia only, no Ace-K. If you are about to order from them

and want to avoid the Ace-K, call directly to customer

service at 1-800-678-8989 and tell them you want the stuff

without Ace-K, and they will oblige. (I'm sure they have a

stock of the Ace-K formula to use up which they will send

out to those who order off the net.) They will also accept

an exchange-return of any bottles you have of the Ace-K

formula if you enclose a note explaining why you can't use

them.

I've been working my way through a bottle of this pretty quickly. It

seems quite weak in comparison to Immunepro. I have taken up to 6

heaping 5 gram scoopers 3 times a day of it and had no reaction of

anything. I don't think I could do that with IP. I am going to switch

back to IP for a while and play with dosing to see how it compares.

The LEF protien is sure a good price though, I'm just not convinced

of it's effectiveness for me.
