Guest guest
You can hire someone to do this. There are whole companies that transcribe tapes and lectures, for a fee. Guest guest
, I wouldn't try to transcribe 10 hrs. of tape. I ran out of tapes at the 6 hour point and have never listened to them. I just took some notes on the major things brought up. Much of the 10 hrs. is talk about his theory on the cause and treatment of CFS and people on the list can get much of that from various web sites detailing his theories and protocol. A lot of the info. is in the literature he sent you home with. Congratulations, I think your probably on the road to recovery. Steve B. Guest guest
Cheney recommended I stay away from all SSRI's just over a year ago. Steve B. Guest guest
This is interesting. Chenney used to ALWAYS proscribe low-dose PROZAC. > Re: Made it to Cheney Clinic > > > You can hire someone to do this. Guest guest
In general, it is all the SSRI's. Mark....when was the last time you knew Cheney to prescribe these? In Feb of 95, he explained to me how bad they were....including Prozac....for CFS. He said they make most of us sicker. And, they was certainly true for me....and I tried all of them......they were given to me by a local doctor where I live.....not Cheney. Guest guest
Steve, come to think of it, you are right. Thanks again, And for all who are thirsting for his great thinking about this illness, I will do my best to share as I have the energy. > >I wouldn't try to transcribe 10 hrs. of tape. Guest guest
This psychiatrist wants me to try Wellbutrin. Anyone know the biochemistry of it in relation to SSRIs? I asked her and she said it will increase dopamine. I have read the literature but am getting confused. This would be in conjunction with the Neurontin which I have to say has really really slowed me down in what seems a good way. I would rather be safe than have symptomatic improvements so if anyone can steer me as the where to look for/about Wellbutrin I would be grateful. I was on Zoloft before CFS but got off soon after the CFS hit. Thanks for your answers Laurion and > > In general, it is all the SSRI's. Guest guest
I would be very eager to hear Cheneys tapes. There is alot of cheney info out there but I don't think theres anywhere near 10 hours worth (vide0 -3, + 2 more?). I have a special problem with CFS - which only Cheney has alluded to - and I wonder if theres anything buried in there which would help. Aside from visiting him - which probably isn't going to ever be possible given my financial situation - this is the closest I will ever get. So if you can get the energy together at some point I'd be very interested. How about just copying the tapes? It can be done on a cassette deck with dual cassettes - quite quickly on fast record speed - a couple of minutes per tape I believe. I would pay for your time, tapes and shipping. Congratulations for getting there. I hope you are on your way! How much was the visit all together by the way? >From: Lucey <lucey001@...> >Reply-egroups >egroups >Subject: Made it to Cheney Clinic >Date: Mon, 23 Oct 2000 14:24:52 -0500 > >To all who offered words of wisdom and guidance, thank you. >I made it to my appointment with Dr Cheney and I have over 10 >hrs of tape recorded info and a basic plan to begin my treatment >with him.
