Guest guest
I have REALLY wanted to try HGH. I think it may be only thing with at least a chance of restoring my strength. But the doctors are pretty ademant that it cannot be used for CFS because of the risk of cancer from a malfuctioning immune system, especially NK cells. At this point, I'd be happy to take my chances! But how you get a prescription and whatever monitoring is necessary, I don't know. My husband found some studies on medline about it being helpful for treatment resistant depression, sent it to his doc, and I'm sure he'll get a script with no problem. Very frustrating! > I'm really wanting to try HGH. I am currently having extreme problems sorting out data so would like help, hoping it won't be overly repetitious.//////////// (Also ask tolerance on the poor formatting of posts with webtv)//////////// Are there any reasons NOT to try HGH (risks?) What are effects on other hormones. For instance, I take florinef, immunopro, and miniscule synthroid which all do or may affect hormones, and am most likely perimenopausal (it's time), tho no obvious signs. ARE tests neccessary to determine risk factors? In this case, I'd only have access to most basic bloodwork, due to being on Medi-Cal (Medi-Caid)./////////// Regarding the nutramart.com site, I see the 30x mentioned contains 30% alcohol, so that's out for me.I'm wondering if the chewable is agood idea and I do not understand the strength(numbers) there.///////// Any feedback greatly appreciated.//////// Katrina
Guest guest
Katrina, Given your situation I would avoid GH stimulators and go directly to the more effective and safe human growth hormone injections starting at a very low dose. There are 3 brands on the market. I use the Saizen brand which I believe is the cheapest. A physician can privide you with a prescription for this. I would buy the Saizen from Womens International Pharmacy because I think they have the lowest prices. My physican required that I get a PSA test beforehand to make sure I did not have prostate cancer. He may also want to check your IGF-1 (test for HGH levels) beforehand for you to confirm you have a deficiency. There is a risk that if you already have a small as yet undetectable cancer, the HGH may accelerate it's growth. However, there is only very limited data regarding this supposition to date. If you have a below normal HGH level, I think you'll benefit enormously from the injections. Good luck, Steve Bullock HGH Questions > I'm really wanting to try HGH. Guest guest
& Faerytales, Boosting your HGH levels with injections vs. one of the many GH stimulators on the market, whether Somatomed or a homeopathic type, will have the same affect on the body. If you believe it can cause cancer because of your weak immune system, you should avoid GH stimulators as much as HGH injections. Both raise the HGH level in your body and both will have the same impact, positive or negative. I think the results will be positive either way. I'm both injecting and taking Somatomed, the GH stimulator, with excellent results. My doctor did require that I get a PSA test done before doing the HGH injections just to make sure I don't have prostate cancer. They tend to work (when they work at all) in a very gentle way to normalize the body rather than drive levels to excess. It is because of this that I believe that homeopathic HGH will not boost the GH levels high enough to cause any problems. This is all just conjecture, of course - I haven't found any research on the topic, and only a few of us have started using the homeopathic form. -- el - andrea@... Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for responses. Sounds like I'm a creek without a paddle, as I had Malignant Melanoma 5 years ago. Does anyone disagree?(that that is too high a risk factor?) My situation has gotten so complex, that even prommising treatments for one thing are usually contraindicated for another. I wonder if the homeopathic form has same cancer risk? KatrinaPrevious(no subject) post for
Guest guest
Seeing that I am " a creek without a paddle " , My focus should be on the cognitive mess I am in. It's alarming me in that ,while overall quite improved from years ago, I now seem to be regressing cognitively. How I wish that I had a practitioner to oversee this complicated ever changing catastrophe. To help me sort out the options. Guest guest
Katrina, I solved my cognitive problems with hydroxycobalamin injection (type of B-12) with powerful toxin neutralizing capabilities, especially in the brain, Imuplus (now Imuplus and Immunepro), and Somatomed (as mentioned previously I don't know if its wise for you to take this). I got some additional help from C0q10 sublingual wafers and DHA. Good luck, Steve B.
