Guest guest
Carol and others: On my recent visit to Dr. Cheney, he took me off ImmunoPro totally. He said so far the results are about 50/50. He said the Pro was very, very different ....not like Immunocal. Laurion
Guest guest
Hi Carol, You wrote " I had an exchange of faxes today with Cheney, and one topic was that though I am still slowly increasing my dose of ImmunePro, I am really detoxing, and have twice had to stop and almost start over again. He recommended that I give my body a break each week - take ImmunePro for five days, don't take it the next two days. " I am going through something similar with whey. Am detoxing on much smaller doses than a few weeks ago and have been stopping the whey when I get into heavy and prolonged herxing and detoxing in order to let my body " catch up " . Sounds like Cheney's suggestion could apply to me too. Thanks for the info ! Cheers, Carole
Guest guest
Laurion, did he say in what way they're different? Guest guest
Hi Everybody: For past year or more, I cannot tolerate ImmunoPro or Cal so Dr Cheney has me taking Seacure caps for protein source (a small % of his pts do). Having ALCAT allergy tested routinely, am allergic to many foods. But Seacure is tolerated well. Am similar to Carol S. comments in being in phase 3 but remnants of 2, also. The longer I am sick with this, the more comlex it gets. Between rotating foods, and trying to manage symptoms, its a bear. Oh, if anyone needs an intro, my name is Hannah. Been ill since 1991, gradual onset when working in healthcare/not correctly diagnosed til going to Cheney Clinic in 1995. By that time a lot of neuro damage was done. So, hopefully after disability review AND long anticipated d-i-v-o-r-c-e, I will be back online again. BTW< neuro tests showed an IQ decline of significant dimensions since first tests in 1996. Good to see that the group is still in there trying and sharing. Best to all! Hannah
Guest guest
Hi Hannah: As a Cheney patient your eligible for his trials of fetal bovine growth factor as a potential cure of CFS. The product actually causes the body to produce new brain cells and repair some (maybe all) damage caused by CFS. Unfortunately, the trial is not covered by any grant money so each patient has to pay roughly $10,000 over six months. Steve B. Guest guest
Hi Hannah, What is Seacure? Is it a substitute for ImmunoPro? How many grams of protein are in it? I was allergic to Immunocal. I'm allergic to cow's milk. You sure have a lot of stress on your plate. But you will feel so much better when it's all resolved. I know I did. Thought I was cured. Actually, I did have a remission for a few years. Thanks, Carol aab532L & Liii.com > > For past year or more, I cannot tolerate ImmunoPro or Cal so Dr Cheney has > me > > taking Seacure caps for protein source (a small % of his pts do). > > Hannah
