My journey post HM...and Merry Christmas

I am 5 weeks post HM and am now starting to try some soft foods. I still have to

eat really slow and in tiny amounts and some foods go down better than others.

I made some muffins, and the day they were made I ate one with no problems. The

next day I warmed one up and it didn't go down as well. All foods are trial and

error at the moment.

I take magnesium everyday and still have a glass of Sustagen (like Ensure)

because I am not getting enough nutrients in the small amounts of food I am

eating.

I still sleep up on 3 pillows to be safe at night, but I haven't needed my wedge

for a couple of weeks.

The interesting thing is that through my whole journey with A I have never had

to spit up anything....ever! I find this odd because I think everyone else here

does it all the time!

I hope everyone here is able to have a good Christmas, and get through it

whatever way you can.

I will by trying some turkey with the vegetables I know I can already eat. I

will also be making a creme caramel for me while everyone else eats their stodgy

Christmas pudding.

Socializing is the hardest part for me at the moment, because all I can drink is

water (no soft drink, wine or alcohol)...it's not quite the same!

After 19 years in one house, we moved to a beautiful dream house 18 months ago,

put in a pool and finally got it all landscaped and finished so that we could

enjoy many BBQ's with friends this summer. Summer is here and now I can't eat

BBQ meat/chicken!!

Merry Christmas to you all, and thank you for the fabulous advice and words of

wisdom.
