Guest guest
Back in june i had a Barium Swallow and the radiologist said that the lower half of my stomach tube (after having ectomy) was narrow and that it was only about 5mm in width during the swallow when i swallowed the bread soaked in barium. Now when i saw consultant's team for the results the registrar told me that my barium was normal and that any food that i swallow would eventually go down when it goes stuck in my chest. Is this normal? Do i need to mention that my eating difficulties are getting worse and question the barium results?? I am down to eating one small meal around lunchtime and perhaps a biscuit or two around teatime. That's all i can swallow foodwise. Am seeing the consultant again on Monday because i have a growth growing just under the skin next to my jejunostomy stoma and my General Practitioner says that it needs to be excised. from the UK
