Guest guest
Thanks to both for the suggestions! Yes he had an HM in 2009 and is actually scheduled to go in for another dilation soon. I hope it's not nerve damage! There's not a cute for that! I think he's been regular but I will check with him an try the miralax. He said he actually feels the food bolus hit his stomach and when it does that's when he gets the pain. Maybe his GI can take a peek while he's in there Thanks again! I agree with the Miralax daily, it does diminish the pain a little in my case, being constipated keeps food from processing properly. I also have nerve damage from the HM so that causes me pain every time I eat or drink. But if I skip a dose of Miralax the pain is much worse. Unfortunately, my digestive tract has several problems from top to bottom. Good luck!! > BC > > > > > > Hi , > > > > > > I don't know if this will help. But my 13 year old has this often she will be in pain bad enough to cause her to crawl or roll on the floor, she even begged fro a wheelchair. I took her to the Dr. and they were able to find anything wrong so eventually she was hospitalized and when she was in the hospital they starved her; well the pain disappeared then she came home and ate pain came back. I said all that to say turns out she was severely constipated they couldn't even see her organs in a stomach x-ray. The told me she could have a miralax daily and no prescription was needed. > > > > > > Like I said I don't know if it would help but best of luck to you both. > > > > Shamira > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: <grneyegrrl@...> > > achalasia > > Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2011 1:14 PM > > Subject: Abdominal pain? > > > > > > Â > > Hello all- > > > > Took my son to the GI last week and he is going to do another dilation. In the meantime, my son had been complaining of fairly severe abdominal pain when he eats. He says the food gets stuck, but he can feel when it hits his stomach and when it does it causes him pain. He was almost doubled over last night at dinner. Has anyone else had this experience? Just curious if it's " normal " or if I should call the doc. > > > > Thanks, > > > > > > Sent from my iPhone > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi I just wanted tell you that my daughter went to the Dr. almost every week because she was hurting, barely walking, and stooped over. Every time they checked her belly said it sounds good. She said she would use the restroom and all was good. No one could figure what was going on until the x-ray. We didn't know that she should be going a decent amount everyday. They also said that Miralax in safe to give as much or as little as needed. They said that it draws water into the bowels through the intestine. Just thought I would share as I was skeptical but she is doing better since she started Miralax. ________________________________ From: <grneyegrrl@...> " achalasia " <achalasia > Cc: " achalasia " <achalasia > Sent: Monday, November 14, 2011 1:45 PM Subject: Re: Re: Abdominal pain?  Thanks to both for the suggestions! Guest guest
Hi Shamira- I remember reading those emails. They broke my heart! How is your daughter doing? I will definitely try the miralax. Even bough he says he goes every day I don't check, and it could be that he's just not going enough. Hope all is well with you Sent from my iPhone On Nov 14, 2011, at 10:13 PM, Shamira <shareedanieal@...> wrote: > Hi > > I just wanted tell you that my daughter went to the Dr. almost every week because she was hurting, barely walking, and stooped over. Guest guest
Taniea is doing so much better. Her food still sticks but she fights it and it seems to working for her. Her pain level is down. She still has some better days and some worse but nothing like before. Thank you for asking. I hope that they are able to figure out why your son is in so much pain. Good luck Shamira and Taniea From: <grneyegrrl@...> " achalasia " <achalasia > Cc: " achalasia " <achalasia > Sent: Monday, November 14, 2011 9:25 PM Subject: Re: Re: Abdominal pain?  Hi Shamira- I remember reading those emails.
