Great!

The best thing you can do for yourself is invest in a wide-mouthed thermos

bottle. This way you *can* take those soups and leftovers from dinner with

you and not worry about getting to the microwave.

Have you looked through the Files section on both here and RSDeal lists? A

lot of the ' recipes may fit that criteria, as far as

sandwiches goes.

I don't cook so I'm the LAST person to get recipes from, but...

I cook a pound spiral pasta and, when it's almost done, I add a

pound (or two) of frozen mixed veggies (usually broccoli, carrots,

and cauliflower). After it's drained, I add either precooked

(Short Cuts) or leftover chicken breast -- enough to give me the

right ratio of protein to starch. Then I put it in the fridge

just " naked " like that. It's now the basis for many different

meals.... I can eat it cold with just a little lite salt, cold

with lite italian dressing (or various vinaigrette dressings),

warm without adding a thing, warm with one of several stir-fry

sauces.... Sometimes I omit the pasta and just get the chicken

and veggies together, but then I don't like it cold. Also, I

sometimes replace the pasta with couscous, which IS ok cold....

Hope this helps!

Congrats on losing 40 pounds!!! That's awesome. I'm struggling for 40

right now. How about different things rolled up in a tortilla or pita? Fat

free cream cheese with a little fat free sour cream so it spreads smoothly.

Add chopped black olives, green peppers, garlic, leftover chicken, salsa,

whatever you can think of. Roll it up in plastic wrap to keep it together.

hate to burst your bubble on this nasal spray stuff for libido, but I've done an exhaustive search on the stuff for my own libido problem

The FDA dunked the phase three application by Palatin, saying the drug causes high blood pressure issues they were not comfortable with. FDA told them to go back to the drawing board and if they could resolve the high blood pressure problem they would look at it again. Palatin has since stopped research and is not pursuing futher interest in PT-141, also known as benomelatine ... I think that's the drug name. I was greatly and deeply traumatized to hear no further research and studies are being done. Everything I read said it REALLY worked at inciting desire and "horniness", as well as providing excellent erections. I'm serious ya'll, it really bummed me that further interest in this product has stopped. It is my belief that Phizer and the other drug companies that have developed Viagra, Cialis and Levitra have stopped the FDA on this, as it would put their ED drugs out of business.

Left here at 5:50 this morning; got home around six thirty. And *busy* day,

with lots of walking and lots of waiting in between (Major medical center!).

Passed the stress test with no problems. Didn't have to do the treadmill 'cause

I'm so malnourished, eep. But both echocardiograms were fine; in fact, better

than ten years ago.

I *like* the surgeon: he's the head of thoracic surgery at the UVA hospital,

does a lot of cardio work, and lung cancer work, but has also done a lot (over

100) Hellers. He didn't think a Nissan wrap was likely, but didn't want to be

pinned down on a Dor or a Toupet. He wants to decide *during* surgery,

depending on what he is seeing with the LES.

Also like that he *doesn't* want to re-do the manometry, lol!

DATE: December 27! And yup, and *very* excited! The thought of being subjected

to an endless line of balloon dilations which didn't hold, damaged the LES

making surgery at minimum more difficult, and the possibility that by the time

that happened, I might no longer be a candidate for the surgery wasn't making me

very happy.

in the wilds of WV. (Did I mention he's *from* WV? lol!)

Good Luck !  Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, wishing you the

best outcome!  I also decided on surgery and now have NO regrets!  I can eat,

and can sleep flat without all the extra pillows.  I spent 22 years suffering,

and the surgery completely changed my life...I can eat....I don't regurg or need

tons of water...it's such a relief that for the first six months, I was in

awe...

I had to fast 3 days prior to my surgery, each doctor does it alittle

differently.  I was on clear liquids for awhile and then soft foods.  The

hassle of a couple weeks is worth the outcome....
