Guest guest
Hi All, I saw the list of speakers for the AACFS International CFS conference in January and was surprised that Dr. Cheney is not speaking. Does anyone know when or where Dr. Cheney is speaking next? Al
Guest guest
Where did you see this list of speakers? I'm thinking of going, as I believe many of the big cheeses will be there. Jim

Guest guest
I've been reading everyone's posts and I have never heard about the hypercoagulation. Could someone please explain it to me...........do all of us have it? What does it mean? Do all MD's believe it is something that must be treated? Do you have to see a hemotologist? Where can I get some publications for my MD to read up on it? Thanks, Carol
Guest guest
See http://www.folkarts.com/idef/blood_thinning.htm and http://www.hemex.com/cfs/ and especially http://www.folkarts.com/townhall/berg.htm and http://www.folkarts.com/townhall/berg2.htm .... yes .. ~ 90% of us have hypercoagulation (viral or bacteria induced usually) -- some of us have no natural ability to under the hypercoagulation (hence even after we rid ourselves of the infection, we do not get better. Guest guest
Our insurance company does -- but the policy is definitely " high-end " (no upper/life-time limit). And YES -- for Laurie and myself -- in different ways anticoagulant have made MAJOR differences - but remember that there is a wide variety of coagulation patterns and genetic factors are significant! We expect even more differences to occur because of the prescription anticoagulants that the ISAC panel will result in. Guest guest
Would you mind me asking what insurance you carry, how much does it cost, and is it an individual or group plan. I have taken over my payments from my ex. I'm self employed and am on an individual plan Oxford Liberty. It's $390 a month/ very expensive. Wish I could find soomething as good, but not as expensive. They keep raising the rates and cutting the benefits.
Guest guest
Ken, It may be that someone (such as Berg) has submitted an abstract to the meeting on hypercoagulation. If so, and if it's accepted, there may be a talk on it. I guess I would be surprised if has not submitted an abstract, considering how enthusiastic he is about hypercoagulation. The committee is supposed to notify people in September if their abstracts are accepted.
