MSM has sulfur in it, as do sulfates and sulfa drugs, but they aren't really

closely related. There is no reason to expect that an intolerance to sulfa

drugs would point to intolerance of MSM. Sulphites (common used as

preservatives in salad bars, wine) cause allergic reaction in some people,

and this would be much more likely to point to potential problems with MSM.

Sulfate, a different group yet, is VERY unlikely to give any allergic

responses, as sulfates are present in the body in large quantities all the

time. Glucosamine sulfate, for instance, makes up a lot of the connective

tissue.
