> Is anyone else having problems with egroups? I've been getting

emailsand subbed to a string of unwanted egroups that I've never

heardof-mostly hideous porn.groups. I belong to a number of

egroups- all CFIDS related. and click onlittle else from this

address. I've forwarded all posts toabuseegroups Have heard

nothing. Not only do I get individualemails, but have to repeatedly

" un-sub " from these groups. Anyoneelse? Any suggestions? Katrina

Yes, me too! The porn stuff keeps rolling in. This is a first.

It's

pretty disgusting, explicit material and photos, and I'm a pretty

hang-

loose type of person.

ewww, katrina, it sounds like somebody has targeted you for some reason.

if egroups can't take care of this for you, your only solution may be a

new address :-(

My post regarding SPAM seems to have tweaked something in you. I didnot mention

sensitive or issue.I did mention hideous. I would addPissed--I am very busy and

do not have time to deal with a mailboxjammed with junkmail or to continually

have to unsub from groups Ihave not joined. Katrina> > >

Hi Debbie, Well, I don't know about the targeting. I have learned that peopleon

at least 3 CFIDS Egroups are experiencing the same thing. Couldhave a variety of

causes, still a mystery so far. Katrina> ewww, katrina, it sounds like somebody has targeted you

Some email programs have filters.

Eudora Pro for example allows one to filter these

unwanted incoming sources to trash.

Then when time allows you can go and unsubscribe and

send to abuse.com etc.

I know it is annoying as heck, but the filters may help.

Steve,Regarding the onslaught of Spam I did not mention " sensitivity " or " issues "

I did mention hideous and I will mention Pissed. I am fartoo busy to deal with

a jammed mailbox of emails from groups thatsomeone has subscribed me(and others)

to, or to click aroundunsubbing from them all. Katrina> > >
