Ultraviolet blood irradiation...

All the talk of the electrical units and targeting

specific frequencies reminded me of this therapy I had

read about. I don't know exactly why it reminded me

of it, but it did... Anyway, I've been meaning to ask

you all about this for awhile. Its fairly well known,

so I'm sure at least one of you has had experience

with it, at least I hope so. I never went through

with it, since I did not particularly like the idea of

my blood running through some tube and being

reintroduced into my body. I realize the tubes must

be disposable and sterile, but I just didn't like the

idea. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Dan,

I tried this during a 2 week stint in Nevada where I got both Ozone

and UVB therapy daily. Where I had it done, they take a large 100cc

syringe and draw the blood through the tubing, past the UV light in a

little steel box and into the syringe. Then they just pushed it back

through the same tubing and back into you. So not very much blood is

actually exposed to the light. Apparently the red blood cells absorb

the UV and re-radiate it for about 24 hours inside the body. That is

where the real anti-viral effect takes place.

A friend of mine got terrific results from this treatment, (the ozone

UVB combo) so I forked over $2000 for the two weeks. Unfortunately

for me, the doc didn't listen when I told him that my most immediate

problem was an amoebic infection. I did feel better while getting

the treatment, but any antiviral or immune boosting benefit I might

have gotten was lost when the parasites came back in force.

The technology was developed and tested in Germany, not a country

known for their sloppy work, so I believe it is a viable treatment

for viral problems, despite my ultimate lack of results. It's

probably a good way to speed up the results from IP, since the

intracellular glutathione acts as an inhibitor to viral replication.

I saw him and am giving it serious consideration. Want to find out more about

it's effectiveness first. As I appear to be loaded with viruses he thinks it

could be beneficial. The blood can be

treated with UV and in addition H2O2 can be administered. He recommends 12

treatments. I forgot to ask the signifigance of 12. Has anyone on this list

tried these? Maybe I will be our list guinea

pig.

A book exist called " Into the Light " that describes the technique

along wioth case studies. The case studies are very old and the book

is somewhat lacking in quality information. I considered it about a

year ago but never pursued it.

[MODEL BASED POSSIBLE OUTCOME]

I would expect the combination >could< bring about a short term remission (at best), but if there

is a bacterium basis for some of your CFIDS, the reserves will survive and regrow. H2O2 is known to

kill most of the bacterium involved, and I suspect the UV also has this property. The UV may

help breakdown coagulation on a temporary basis-- so it could be helpful if you are planning

to do another treatment approach immediately afterwards. Most of the bacterium associated

with CFIDS appear to settle outside of the direct blood supply (so those that appear in the

blood system are secondary)
