Are you taking the Formula 560? If you are, are you noticing any

improvement? I have been on it for over 3 weeks now and have noticed

nothing at all.....how long does it take? I am not that sick and haven't

been for that long...I have been severly fatigued for 2 years now....Thanks

for any info.

Hi - I got any infection, I was totally at the mercy of what was

going around. Usually a flu or cold, then tracheitis or bronchitis or some

other respiratory infection. Pneumonia once. For the most part they were

definitely " external " infections and not CFS/mono-like things, but some of

them might have been part of the CFS thing.

- thanks for this - I have looked at the web site but it is not at

all clear about WHICH herpes viruses it is supposed to be specific

to. Do you have any more info on the trials results?

I am a bit wary of the fact that they suggest 3 times a day when there is

no need to - by their own admission TF is a long acting agent (I had

results for *2 years* after my first TF injections) so there does not

seem to be any advantage (except for their profit) in taking 3 doses a

day rather than one bigger dose. The physical amount of TF needed

is tiny so the size of the capsule is not an issue. ANy

thoughts?

As for other specific TF's - I have been hopeful of this for several

years but things seem to be slow on the TF front - lots of promises and

little action. I have tried the Italian one with no obvious results

(don't think they make it any more).

Cheers,

I'm sure that other disease specific Transfer Factors will be popping

n,

Immunitytoday was selling a TF that was specific to HHV6. Last year

one of their employees got in a dispute with the company and notified

the Food and Drug Administation that they were not following the

FDA's guidelines on the production of TF. Whether they were in

compliance or not, I don't know, but the FDA forced them to take the

targeted HHV6 TF off the market. The targeted TF is now again

available, but only to patients participating in Dr. Brewer's study.

I don't know what is in the Formula 560. It may be the same HHV6 TF

sold under a generic name, or it may be a completely different

product. If you are looking for a targeted TF, try the Chisholm

Biologicals CFS formula. They can't be too specific or they will get

in the same trouble with the FDA for making unproven claims about a

medical product. I was part of the pilot study when they developed

the formulation. It works, and it has TF for HHV6, CMV, EBV,

Candida, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. I just bought

some more, but had to back off because it was too much to take it

along with the Immunopro. I'll start up again when I'm up to a full

dose of the Pro.

Hi,

Although I have bought a bottle of formula 560, I haven't taken any

yet. I am waiting for Dr. Brewer's Lab to start using a quantitative

test for HHV6. This will not only show if there is an active

infection, but will quantify it.

I rarely start any protocols without pre-testing and establishing a

baseline. If I am still positive, (after 130 Kutapressin injections),

I will add the formula 560, take it over the recommended period and

then retest.

This test should be available in the next several months.

Hi,

Those who were fortunate enough to get there mother's first milk in

the first several days of life got immunity to last a lifetime.

I did not. Who else on this list were not brest feed and have

suffered numerous allergies?

For those of us that are trying to boost their immunity with cow's

transfer factor as adults; who knows how much and how long it will

take, or even if it works at all.

I have my doubts. This is off the top of my head, but newborns don't

have the strong HCL that adults have and as a result the transfer

factor present in colostrum is not digested but absorbed and

utilized.

In an adult, I wonder if these products even make it past the

stomach, but instead are broken down into their respective amino

acids and utilized only as such.

The results of the Brewer study are not published yet, but it will be

interesting when they are available.

In the end though, I am more interested in results than physiology

and even if shaking a bag of bones over my head by a Shaman makes me

feel better, then I will surely do it.

Your fears are justified. The best way to take TF is to break open

the capsules and let them dissolve under the tongue. Much better

absorbtion that way.

Hi ,

Sorry, but I was breast fed for a whole year and have the worst allergies

and crummy immunity!

Much research has been done on this and the consensus is that it does work

orally.

And as for whether it works at all, I have absolutely no doubt that my

early (injected) TF transformed me from being very sick with flu and chest

infections all the time, always in bed, to not a single infection in 2

years, after only three injections. It was just too much of a coincidence.

Later when I started to get sick again regularly I tried oral TF which

reduced the problem greatly, but did not seem to be as dramatic as the

injections. Trouble is no-one has any idea what doses / potency are in any

TF preparation, so it is hard to tell.

>The results of the Brewer study are not published yet, but it will be

Yes I am waiting for this - but reports from Debbie and Immunity today are

that the results are " positive " .

I wrote to Immunity today about my questions, two interesting answers, the

second being very enigmatic...

----------------------

> 1 Can you tell me the results of any trials on your TF product?

There was a study done on this product last fall by a Dr. ph Brewer in

Kansas City, Missouri. The results of that study have not been published to

date. We have been told that the results were positive. We also know that,

individuals in the study, experienced diminished sypmtoms as early as 7 to

14 days on the product. We understand however that the vast majority

experienced this within 6 to 8 weeks on the product.

> 2 What viruses is your product specific against (which STRAINS of Herpes

> Virus, not just Herpes Viruses)?

The product is effective in individuals that are HHV6 positive. "

--------------------

I look forward to your trial of the 560 product with great interest,

although I don't share your optimism in anybody coming up with a reliable

quantitative test for HHV6 in the near future! I guess you have looked at

the HHV6 site? Enough to convince me that it is a very black art at the

moment and for the forseeable future. Is Dr Brewer confident of achieving

this? Couldn't you do the trial based on NK count and function and T4

count and function as your progress measurement? (This is a selfish

question meaning " I wish you would start soon " ).

Cheers

Me too! I've got some great bones left over from last time, do you want some?

Hi,

I received the information about the quantitative test from Dr.

Fitz, Dr. Brewers associate. I talked to him on the phone two

weeks ago. He seemed confident that this test for HHV6 would be

available in the next few months.

I do plan to also get a NK count and function test as well as the

quantitative HHV-6 test prior to any additional therapy.

S.N.- I had a positive HHV-6 test approximately one year ago.

S.N.2- The only other unfortunate complication is, is that HHV6 seems

to wax and wane without any medical intervention according to studies

that I have read. This makes interpretation much more difficult. I'm

sure when the quantitative test comes out, they will follow controls

to see how much natural fluctuation there is, and compare this with

treated individuals.

P.S. I wish I could start yesterday! :-)
