Guest guest
i am really blessed. i am ten days after my myotomy and am doing great. i ate pan seared grouper , mashed potatoes and white gravy last night and some green beans. i am still having the spasms , but nothing new or more or worse. just about the same. i had had some stomach surgery almost 30 years ago and i could not get the Toupet or wrap so i had a 'simple " myotomy. but i immediately was so much better. was drinking that night. no spewing afterwards.. before i was unable to even drink .. and if i did it shot back out my nose. it is a miracle. i go for my check up to my surgeon tomorrow. he is in monroe louisiana and has done many of these for my GI doctor, Dr Raj Bandarhi, my surgeon was Dr Daryl Marx . he was not on any list that i have seen but he had done many and was successful on all those.. I am very very pleased. He was very knowledgeable and very kind (and GOOD).. i am so happy. i know there is not a permanent answer for us with A but this surely improved my quality of life. i am now going to strive to NOT gain weight back (not stretch out my E any more that i can keep from) and stay healthy. begin back on walking etc. and then also some light weights.. thank you all so very very much for encouragement. I also want to say that just about everything i learned about A was from this site. I helped diagnoise myself from reading and figuring out things then approached my Dr with what i thought needed to be the next step. i was able to better articulate my symptoms in terms that he could relate to A. --then all the tests confirmed. I feel like i have part of my life back . i just pray that it will last.. and that i WILL ( i will need that willpower) do the best that i can to keep myself healthy and well. i hope that i may be a help to others as yall have to me. thanks.
