I have a small hiatal hernia. This was found before I was diagnosed with

Achalasia.

As a newbie here, I am wondering what happens when we get other illnesses

like winter bugs etc. Are they usually harder to deal with or last longer?

Are there other complications when coughing etc.

Also wondering how a hiatus hernia is dealt with in a patient with A.

Anyone else here have or had one of these too?

The Dors Fundoplication totally solved my hiatal hernia problems that I had

since the moment of my first pregnancy in 1961!!! I have not had an ounce

of heartburn since the Dors...Achalasia problems....yes!

Make sure you get the Fundoplication!

You bet I will be asking for the Fundoplication too! I will hopefully get an op

date when I see the doc again on Oct 11.
