Guest guest
I was diagnosed about three years ago with achalasia. I have had botox injections in my esophagus three times since then which were effective, but my doctor says he doesn't want to do too many and it's time for the myotomy surgery. I am in New York City. It seems so many in this group are located in the midwest and go to the Cleveland Clinic or Mayo. Do you know of any good surgeons in New York? Do you think it's necessary to travel so far for this surgery? And what's the recovery really like? How long are you typically recovering in the hospital and laid up at home? Many thanks for your help.
