Hi mike... I too had a hm in 2009... And recently have been having some issues.

I was curious if your symptoms came on gradually or quickly? Also what exactly

do they do with a redo myotomy?

Glad to hear you will be getting help soon ;)

I actually had a few issues shortly after surgery that were taken care of with a

dilation.  Symptoms came on pretty suddenly this time, and I tried just having

it dilated a couple times.  That allows some liquids thru, but no solids.

I will be having the wrap taken out this time, and the surgeon will look at the

original site and make sure all fibers were cut.  I'm not really sure what she

will do if she sees that they are.  But she said that because she is using the

robot, she will be able to see everything better.  Apparently, with the robot

she can get a 3d view as opposed to the 2d view available without.

I am going to UW hospital in Madison.  Surgery will be done by Dr. Tracey

Weigel.  Where in Wis. are you?
