Guest guest
I am wondering how long after eating you .... regurgitate. As some of you know my husband has A & had the Heller back in 2008. He went for a follow up check up in April 09 & had a subsequent Endoscopy because the dr " saw something " . The dr never called with results, & my husband never called him. That was his last time seeing or talking to a dr. He's had many problems over the last 3 years, some I've posted, some I haven't. Lots & lots & LOTS of coughing -- he's a welder so that probably doesn't help. No energy. Can't sleep. He went through a stage about a year ago where he couldn't eat again. It lasted about a month. He works 2nd shift so we don't see each other much. I only know what I see. So Saturday night I was upstairs with my kids & heard my husband in the bathroom throwing up. Violently. For about an hour. This was about 4 hours after eating dinner & he hadn't eaten anything after. He will not share with me how he's doing or feeling, or how often this happens, & like I said seeing him only on weekends, well that's all I see. So.....is it still A related if it's that long after eating?? Can food sit in the esophagus for that long?? When he was first diagnosed, the food wouldn't go down at all, he'd be running to the bathroom during dinner -- so I'm not sure what's up.
