Ron, you have my thoughts and prayers as you go into your surgery.

Uneventful surgery, easy recovery, great losses. You're in good hands!

Ron, good luck. Due to my schedule I won't be there tonight, but I

am planning to come to DRMC to visit the inmates this weekend, so I

will see you then, Cousin.

i will be thinking of you tomorrow with good thoughts of a smooth surgery and a

uneventfull recovery take care and try and get some rest tonight amber

Surgery Tomorrow

I'm just over 24 hours away from surgery. So far, everything has been

going as planned. I got my place clean and ready for my mom to arrive and

sleep at before she comes down to be with me after my surgery (she is

flying in from the Philippines on Friday). On Sunday night, I had my " Last

Supper " at The Olive Garden, where I had the Manicotti

Formaggio. Yesterday, my sister and I had an uneventful trip down to

Delano. The only hiccup has been with the modem in my laptop. When I

first got my laptop, I formatted the hard drive and did a fresh

installation of the operating system and installed drivers for all the

built-in devices... mostly from off a CD. Since I couldn't seem to find

out how to get it to work, I decided to uninstall the modem and then

re-install it... apparently, I didn't have the files needed to re-install

it. It was asking for a file that didn't exist on my hard drive. I needed

to get online, in order to get online. I tried calling around to see if

anywhere in Delano provided public Internet access via either a wired

Ethernet or wireless connection... no such luck. I ended up driving down

to Bakersfield where I could get online at Kinko's... which at least was

free. I was able to download the proper file and install the driver. It

still took a little more work to get online via the slow modem, but at

least I was able to do it. In a couple hours, I'll be meeting with Dee and

sometime today meet with Dr. K. I'll see some of you tonight at the meeting.

Ron,

Sorry I had to leave the Sacramento support meeting early and didn't get a

chance to talk with you. Good luck tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you.

I read the abstract but I still don't understand, since -ectomy means " removal

of " . I don't see how they can remove the synovium, since it holds the synovial

fluid inside the knee. If anyone knows what they actually do during a

synovectomy, please let us know.

good luck amber,

i had a scope and scrape on the L knee in 2004 with

Dr. P. Fulkerson (yes, he's the guy who invented

the surgery) and it took a LONG time to heal. I felt

so raw for about a year, (i could still walk fine

though it hurt) but im glad i did it cause my L knee

feels so much better than the R (im going to get the R

done next year for financial reasons.)

take care,

Farah

wanted to give you guys the DL (down low) on the Cialis.. (yes i am a woman, and

it has no benefits, I.E. " side effects " for women) i started by taking the 36

hour one , taking it along with my bentyl and also donatal..it did lower my

already low blood pressure but not too badly (under my Doctors supervision-Dear

Husband) then i took a low dosage Cialis like the 5mg - one 2x a day.. morning

and evening.. Now what you have to know is that before that i was taking 2 bags

(large bags) of saline IV every week because i could not even drink--muchless

eat. this really really helped! the LES opened up and i was able to eat several

things this past weekend and week. and DRINK! wow! it made a huge

difference.Piggy Sister really got to eat! i then ran out of the cialis samples

so i went to viagra a couple days, that did good too. i was able to not even

worry about having my spit cup with me on the veranda.. wow. that was huge.. but

i am having a myotomy tomorrow morning. so i will let you know how that goes.

SOOOOOO.. for the record, for me, the cialas and viagra worked very well. and

considering how far i was coming from-- absolutely NOTHING going down, it really

helped.
