Throwing up?

I had a myotomy with partial wrap in January 2010. So far, so good! I'm able to

eat pretty much anything, as long as I chew well and drink lots of water with my

meal.

the other day, I felt sick, as if I had to throw up, something I haven't done

since before my myotomy. It didn't feel like the usual Achalasia-food stuck

purging, but rather like I was sick. I had to run to the bathroom, and after dry

heaving a few times, nothing would come out. Almost as if I couldn't throw up.

I drank some water, and felt a little better. I had some stomach medicine and I

felt better after a little while.

Has anyone had issues with not being able to throw up after their myotomy?

Just wondering!

I had my myotomy last year in october 2010. and lately.. from time to time.. id

have this OVERWHELMING sense of the need to throw up... it was so bad that.. one

night.. in the middle of the night while sleeping.. i just got up suddenly and

went straight to the bathroom..

of course.. there was nothing to throw up since its been a few hours since i

ate.. but it sounds like what ur going through is similar to what ive been going

through..

at first.. i thought it was psychological.. when it did happen throughout the

day.. but once this happened in the middle of the night.. i knew there was some

physiological basis..
