L(Please note I might have typos or grammar errors since as I write this I'm

under some heavy IV meds)

On Wednesday mornining I was awoken from with intense severe pain. It seemed to

be be only abdomel and upper left area (mostly the shoulder). I was taken

immediately to ER (about 1:30am). They gave me some pains meds, took some

bloodwork and told they couldn't find anything wrong. They told to come back if

pain worsened or came back. I had only been home for a few hours when the pain

came roaring back, worse than before. I went back to ER. (Redlands Community)

when I got here they.originally suspsected a esophageal or abdominal

perforation. They ran several tests for the next 24 hours and finally decided to

put in a chest tube which would drain the collected fluids and possibly identify

the source of the leaks. However during insertion of the chest tube they

discovered a large abscess behind the diaphragm.

They immediately performed an open laporectomy to begin looking for the cause.

Because of previous abdominal procedures there was a huge amount of scar tissue

and adhesions that they had to cut through just to begin the examination. They

could not find the source of the abscess but put in several drains, and closed

me up. I will most likely be in the hospital for a slow recovery period. It is

very possible I might need follow-up surgeries but that is not certain. What is

certain is this will be a slow recovery. I would appreciate your thoughts and

prayers.

Any thoughts about this? Is it possible this is caused by or attributes to my A?

Thanks,
