OH yeah...meant to add that my left shoulder really hurt worse than anything for

about a week after surgery! I'd read that would happen, but I was surprised at

how much it did hurt! It was worse than my abdominal pain.

I'm not sure about long-term scarring...3/5 of my incisions are still scabs. The

other two don't LOOK like they'll scar too bad, but who knows. They used

surgical glue on me, so I didn't have any external stitches.

weeks ago with achalasia. Im from philadelphia pennsylvania. I am suppose to be

getting a botox treatment but by the way people are writing about it i think i

am just going to get the surgery. Now do u have any left over scaring from the

surgery?

,

You live in Philadelphia? What doctors have you seen? I live near there.

Ladawki143,

I have also been to Dr. Katzka. He is a gem, a wonderful doctor, very

knowledgeable, caring and explains everything so well. He takes the time to

answer any questions, would recommend him to anyone. It is a shame that he is at

Mayo, so far away. He used to be at U. of PA.

Laurie,

I called Dr. Katzka one day and he returned my call in 10 minutes!! Now that is

service. Some doctors take weeks to return a call, if at all. I realize he can't

always be that prompt, but he is certainly a caring and knowledgeable doctor.
