Hmmm gastroparesis sounds scary, lol. But I will look into it and definitely

bring it up to her pcp. Couldn't hurt to check it out.

We actually have Wii Fit and she loves the Yoga part, I have found both an

affordable Yoga class, a Biofeedback Institute, and I called the local

chiropractor who seems to think he could help.

Thank you both for your suggestions

Subject: Sever pain unable to walk

We finally got Taniea on better pain medication she now takes Tramadol (Ultram)

and Amitripyline as of yesterday. But she is having pain that is basically

cripiling her. She is crawling on the floor because even with the meds she says

she hurts to much to walk :( .

The primary care doctor said she thinks Taniea has adhesions scar tissue

sticking causing pain. They did x-rays and didn't see anything so as they say we

are back to square one.

She describes the pain as constant twisting but it is not at her sternum. She

had the myotomy and fundo (tfal i think 270 degree) in Aug of last yr and it was

just below her sternum not sure if thats thoracic or not. the incision is about

2 in long and the area she points to is right in the middle of it. Oh and the

pain worsens after eating and she is on Prilosec 2x a day. My question is has

any one else experienced this type of pain?

I also have the gastroparesis, along with the Vigorous Achalasia (which is lots

of spasms). Gastroparesis is the inability of the upper part of the stomach to

move food further into the stomach for digestion, and yes those spasms do

hurt.  I take Zelnorm (no longer made or prescribed in the US) I go to a

Canadian on line pharmacy for this as it works for me.   It moves the food

along the digestive tract.

I had my last EGD in January 2011 and I was having spasms in the upper part of

the E, very high in the chest.  There is such a thing as corkscrew E.  That is

what my doctor was referring to.  He prescribed Procardia XL (a calcium

channel blocker) that actually helps, but I cannot take it. One of my many

reactions in finding out what will and will not work.  As far as the pain, I

see a pain control, for my Norco.  You really have to be careful when you are

taking lots of meds and not let yourself be controlled by the medication.   My

husband is the best for helping me.

I went through Bio-feedback years ago with no success.  I learned how

to relax, but that did not stop the spasms in the E.   The E is not like

normal muscles, most muscle relaxers will not work.  Start looking for the

medications that will stop spasms.

As we all know, this disease treats each person differently.  But anything can

help.  Keep reading about our suggestions about what works for us, you never

know what you might find.

Good Luck
