Guest guest Posted June 22, 2011 Report Share Posted June 22, 2011 Hi, Fellow Achalasians, I've been having little problems lately and I'm thinking it's due to stress. My myotomy was in January 2006 and since then, my single biggest problem has been saliva pooling. If it's really bad, I wake up gagging and coughing, and trying to get my breathing back to normal. But then, just recently, I've had nausea and a lot of vomiting, too. And about two weeks ago it was awful: vomiting, gagging, up and down to the bathroom during the wee hours, bringing up bile, and finally getting to sleep at 11 a.m. I tried to link it with what I was eating but it didn't signify. And I've been getting more NCCPs too. So. Stress? (I've got some Blue Ribbon ticket items on-going right now in the stress dept.) I think stress makes achalasia " act up " .
