I saw Alice Friedman, MD with the Austin Diagnostic Clinic in late 2007 for

a barium swallow test and endoscopy to check on my esophagus (I've had

achalasia for almost 50 years). She was very knowledgeable about achalasia

and very specific about what I needed to do (have surgery, again). I was in

the process of moving to Portland, Oregon and had the surgery here. Look at

the website for Austin Diagnostic Clinic and you can get her phone number,
