Gota love the " we couldn't find anything wrong. Go home. "

stories. That must have been really scary to go through.

I hope things are on a good course now and that you have real doctors helping

you.

pain worsened or came back. I had only been home for a few hours when the pain

perforation. They ran several tests for the next 24 hours and finally decided to

put in a chest tube which would drain the collected fluids and possibly identify

the source of the leaks. However during insertion of the chest tube they

discovered a large abscess behind the diaphragm.

Because of previous abdominal procedures there was a huge amount of scar tissue

and adhesions that they had to cut through just to begin the examination. They

could not find the source of the abscess but put in several drains, and closed

me up. I will most likely be in the hospital for a slow recovery period. It is

very possible I might need follow-up surgeries but that is not certain. What is

certain is this will be a slow recovery. I would appreciate your thoughts and

prayers.

Everything happened so fast I wonder if they had performed tests earlier they

might have actually seen the perforation happen?

I had no idea there would be so much scare tissue and adhesions from the myotimy

and follow-up emergency surgeries. Apparently they had to cut alot out before

they could even get to the problem!
