Guest guest
I have a strange gurgling sound in my throat but it has never woken me up. It happens several times a day for me. S -- " Snoring " sound? Has anyone else with achalasia had this experience? When I am falling asleep (really relaxed, almost semi-conscious) I will sometimes make a strange sound that sounds like a snore, but orginates from my throat not my nose. It is loud enough that I rouse myself, and my husband says I do not usually snore when asleep. I have to sleep on an wedge pillow with three regular pillows otherwise I spend the whole night feeling like I am choking. Guest guest
I have that all the time at night, I have already vomited in my sleep and almost choked to death, not a pretty site. Some nights I cough so bad and then vomit. It is just a disease that beats the hell of you but I still get up and run my 3 miles and work out and ride my Harley. God Bless my strength. Guest guest
I sometimes have those sudden " snorts " as I'm falling asleep, had them my whole life. I rarely notice, its my wife who gets woken up because she is a light sleeper. I also sometimes snore but from my throat, not my nose. There is a lot of info out there about this type of snoring, and almost all of it has root causes not related to A. I had a sucessful H myotomy and it didn't change the snoring in any way. So I don't feel my snoring is related to my A. > > Has anyone else with achalasia had this experience?
