Guest guest
I'm doing pretty well. The gas pain seems to be gone. I'm still feeling referred pain in my collarbone and shoulder area though. Do you guys know when that goes away? It specifically hurts when I take a deep breath, and it only seems to happen after I eat a bigger meal. Today was the first today I progressed to mushy foods. I had some pasta for lunch, and some soft crock-pot chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner. I know it probably takes the esophagus and wrapped stomach a good amount of time to heal from being cut/moved, so I'm not too concerned about the pain, but I'm curious what you guys experienced. My incision area feels a lot better. I'm able to tolerably laugh now without too much pain. I've been yelling, " Don't make me laugh! " at my boyfriend for these past six days. I'm chuckling a little now at how absurd that is and it feels pretty good. People still cringe a bit when I show them my incisions, and I can't decide whether I'm just tough or it looks worse than it feels. I'm going on a road trip tomorrow to see my boyfriend's parents so we'll see how I handle the long car ride. I'll definitely bring a pillow for the seat belt. And pain killers. Got to love those pain killers.
