Guest guest
Hi All Had my Barium Swallow yesterday in Liverpool. The pictures and videos taken clearly show a holdup around the ectomy anastomosis with some barium remaining above it. The barium then goes through down to the bottom of my stomach in what clearly looks like a birds beak shape which the doctor said was Classic Achalasia. they were willing to chat about the birds beak but not about the possible pictures and videos of the anastomosis. I know that i had no right to ask the doctor questions because she said that she wants to consult with a couple of colegues before making out a report for my surgeon before my July 4th outpatient appointment. now how can i have Classic Achalasia at the bottom of my stomach after an ectomy? this i shall bring up in clinic ans well as a multitude of questions about the anastomosis and why barium remained trapped there (the doctor showed me this on the video). What next? from the UK
